When, on the eve of his wedding, a natural disaster strands Satyam (Madhavan) in an airport far from home, he sets off on an arduous overland journey back to Hyderabad. The slick advertising executive is joined on his trek by Sivam (Kamal Hassan), an unsophisticated cripple who's had a difficult life. As the two unlikely companions make their way across India, they have a close encounter with tragedy that prompts them to question their fate.
