Khatta Meetha is remake of 1988 Malayalam film “Vellanakalude Naadu”. The director has tried to raise the issue of corruption and bribery in India through humour.
The Movie Khatta Meetha revolves around Akshay Kumar, who plays a character of Sachin Tichkule. Sachin is a struggling road contractor. He wants to be a big man but faces several hurdles due to corruptions at municipal office.
Things turn ugly when he finds that the Municipal commissioner is his ex-girlfriend. Trisha has played the Municipal commissioner Ganpule Madam in the film, who hates Sachin.
The movie will display the picture of corruptions and dilemma of a person, who runs office to office to get his job done
