NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGEHDFC Securities

MUMBAI: Indian stock markets were trading flat on Monday, with mixed cues from Asia. Healthcare and power stocks were supporting the indices while oil&gas, FMCG, and consumer durables were weak.

Sensex was trading at 17,482.12, up 21.17 points or 0.12 per cent. The Bombay Stock Exchange sensitive index opened at 17,473.83 against the previous close of 17,460.95. The 30-share index moved between 17,503.93 and 17,440.09 in the early minutes.

Nifty was at 5241.65, up 4.55 points or 0.09 per cent. The National Stock Exchange benchmark started the session flat at 5237.00 versus Friday’s close of 5237.10. The 50-share index saw a high of 5246.80 against a low of 5225.85.

HDFC Securities expects the Indian markets to open moderately lower and remain slightly weak through the day. However during the latter half of the session it can make an attempt to bounce back.
