Kaye Cowher Died, Bill Cowher Wife Kaye Cowher Dead, Kaye Cowher Skin Cancer Death

Kaye Cowher was reported to have passed away quietly at her home in North Carolina with her family members at her side on Friday July 23, 2010.

Bill and Kaye Cowher met when they were both students at North Carolina State where Bill was a football player and Kaye and her twin sister Faye ruled the women’s basketball team. Bill and Kaye were both successful students and athletes marrying and having three wonderful daughter who followed in their mother’s footsteps becoming successful basketball players also.
In 1981 when Bill and Kaye Cowher were first married ,Bill was a back-up linebacker for the Cleveland Browns, he went on to become assistant coach to Marty Schottenheimer. Bill then became the head coach to the Cleveland Brown’s biggest football on field enemies the Pittsburgh Steelers. From 1992-2005 Bill helped lead his team to some record breaking game seasons, including the 2005 Super Bowl Championship.
Bob P of Cincinnati stated that ‘I had the chance to meet Bill and Kaye Cowher about 15 years ago, you could not ask to meet two nicer people. My sympathies go out to entire Cowher family during their time of loss.”
The news of Bill Cowher’s wife Kaye Cowher’s passing took most by shock and surprise, Kaye being the strong willed fighter that she was, chose to keep the news of her battle with cancer a private affair with only the closest of family members aware of her illness.
Kaye Cowher will be greatly missed by everyone who’s lives she touched. Kaye Cowher’s funeral service will be held on Monday July 26.2010 in North Carolina. The Cowher family has asked that their privacy please be respected during their family’s time of great sorrow. The family of Kaye Cowher revealed that there will be no further comments or statements made regarding Kaye Cowher’s death.
