From the first announcement of Longhorn Network, ESPN had made, that they wished to broadcast 18 high school football games per season. The idea caused quite an uproar among the other conference schools because of the possible ethical and recruiting violations. Of a meeting held on 1 August 2011 was between all of the Big 12 athletic director, it was decided that the issue of broadcasting high school football games on the network would be postponed for a year. This would decide to allow sufficient time for the NCAA on this issue.From a 11th August 2011 meeting, the NCAA decided that any school or conference network would not be allowed, high school sports or other high-school programming transmitted
